“do think there could of had been”
*rolls eyes*
If there could have been, there would have been.
no
NOOOOOOOO
if so……we would have had high tech then……lol duhhh
of course. However certain unpredictable events such as the Black Plague in Europe prevented it :D
yes if we put our minds to it the people back then
and your call yourself the CEO of this place?
Hm… doubt it. Most of what makes this world what it is was developed during the technology boom stemming from World War II. Computers… Rocketry… Modern flight… Radio advancements.. etc.
Remember that in the 1800’s, electricity was still a concept, not a known fact.
I think the industrial revolution was delayed because of Britain. They developed many factory methods and such and wouldn’t allow anyone who worked on them to leave the country. Selfish people huh. If they had shared their information it could have been earlier but not that much earlier.
Our high level of technology is just built on past innovations. If we had experienced our industrial revolution a hundred years earlier we would have laptops in the year 1900. They’re just numbers.
What really matters is the people and what they do. We’ve had many times when technology was lost and recovered later - nothing on our modern scale, though. Today we’re able to do anything any of our ancestors did. It might require more political willpower (back then people didn’t have a choice but to obey, that sort of thing) but we could totally build a bigger pyramid than the one at Giza, or a longer wall than the one in China.
So I guess I’m saying the year doesn’t really matter. It all started when we sat down and began farming and making booze, creating religion and law, and later when sparks of technological invention and social change let us jump forward.
Hmmm.. Possible, since electricity was discovered in 1700’s.
The did have what was considered up to date, modern, the latest in advancements, etc for their time and at that time ppl thought the new inventions were amazing, like the silent movie’s were considered an amazing feat, genius inventions of their times.
But no, they were not advanced enough back then and it all had to start somewhere, if it weren’t for those out dated inventions, neither would we be where we are today because we used and built on those idea’s.
Go even further back and look into Leonardo Di Vinci or Nostradamus, etc.
Leonardo had designs for flying/planes, there are designs for submarines, look at the old divers suits, the first phone, tv, etc.
Most these ideas are extremely old and have been added to and reinvented over and over again until someone got it right.
Look into history, you may well be surprised with the who, when and where alot of these idea’s came from.
Much like todays inventors, it starts as a hobby/curiosity and grows.
And in a few hundred yrs from now, ppl will laugh at our so called technology and comment on how old fashioned it was.
I have an old wash tub stand in perfect condition from the 1920’s with the companies name and an artical from a catalogue at the time, it shows a picture and raves about the newest most modern invention for washtubs and how much easier it will make a womans work and life.
